Covid 19 Clinic guidelines
Updated: 22 February 2021
My clinic is now open and as a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), I am permitted to practise in cases of Urgent Care and High Needs, which is at my own clinic discretion, provided that I follow BAcC's Covid 19 Secure guidelines and put in place the necessary hygiene and safety protocols. I will conduct a Covid-19 risk assessment and screening for each person so please contact me to check if I am able to see you for treatment.
Covid-secure Protocols
When you make an appointment I will send you two forms. The first is a Covid 19 screening form, to let me know if you have had any symptoms of Covid 19 in the previous 10 days, have been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has tested positive for Covid 19 or has symptoms, or if you been told to self-isolate, or shield if you are clinically extremely vulnerable. The second is a patient registration and consent to treatment form. Please email these back to me before coming for treatment.
Upon arrival at either clinic please call or text me on 07966 570784 to let me know that you have arrived and I will let you into the building.
Please wear a mask upon arrival and swipe the Government's Test and Trace QR code on the front door of the Crystal Palace clinic location.
I will ask you wash your hands upon arrival and also take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer.
I will be wearing PPE consisting of new surgical disposable face mask, apron or scrubs, visor or goggles.
I will wash and sanitise my hands before, during and after treatment.
The treatment couch will be thoroughly cleaned with anti-viral detergent between patients, and will have fresh couch roll for every patient. Unfortunately I'm not able to provide the usual blankets and towels as all touch points and surfaces need to be wipeable. If you would like a blanket please bring your own.
All hard surfaces and touch points will be disinfected before and after each patient and the room will be ventilated for at least 15 minutes between patients. A window will also remain open during the treatment for ventilation.
